DataPath 132

DataPath has designed this system to make administration easy. The system handles the commonplace tasks plus the exceptions. Users of DataPath's 125 System, DataPath125, will recognize some of the processes.

CASE SETUP

The Case Setup is accomplished in the most part through three screens: Employer Screen, Plan Design, and Employee Screen.

Employer Screen (view)

Before doing anything else, the employer needs to be entered into the Employer Screen. In addition to the basic employer information, this screen holds miscellaneous information needed for documents and a notes screen to attach notes to the employer.

The service years hold the calendar year dates for the pay schedule, which is created under the Pay Schedule tab. With the Pay Schedule Wizard, pay schedules can be set up to mimic any pay or deduction schedule setup the employer may have.

By setting up Divisions, the employees may be sorted by divisions or locations, and reports can be printed sorting by the division.

The Format tab holds the information for reimbursements, while the Benefits tab (shows the benefits offered by the employer.

The Plan parameters set in the Plan Design screen are reflected in documents and letters.

In addition to the basic employee information, the screen offers (under each tab) subscreens to hold such information as the coverages elected by the employee, ACH (Direct Deposit) information, account totals and history, and notes screen.

Searches

Too much computer time is wasted looking for files, actions, or whatever. DataPath132 comes with several features to avoid wasting time.

On the Employee Screen, you can right click on the Employee Name and get a search screen. You can search by employee name or SSN. Just start typing the last name or the SSN, and the system will narrow the search with each keystroke you enter.

DataPath132 includes two completely new search screens, one for claims and one for payments. This feature allows you to select up to six conditions to search for within either payments or claims.

Cash Management

DataPath132 cash management screen includes the option to reconcile bank accounts. Another option solves the problem of recording partial return of a reimbursement.

Reconciling Contributions

DataPath132 gives users the option of creating a contribution list from the coverage master or from a payroll interface file submitted by the employer. Once created, DataPath132 compares the expected deductions (the deduction elected by the employees) and the actual deductions (taken by the payroll department) and generates an exception report of any differences.
