HRA 105: Health Reimbursement Arrangements Software
DataPath's HRA105 is a full-service software solution for the administration of employer-funded Health Reimbursement Arrangements that adapts to the way that most Plan Service Providers (PSPs) administer their Cafeteria Plans.
Using the HRA105 System, the Plan Service Provider can design a single value Health Reimbursement Arrangement with multiple benefit options with multiple benefit designs (medical, dental, vision, wellness, etc.) with different deductibles, co-insurance rates and co-pays for each benefit option, and roll-over, all customizable by plan. All benefit options are coordinated within a single employer contribution amount, which greatly simplifies the impact on testing for non-discrimination.
HRA105's integration with other DataPath products allows for "smart" benefits, ordering claim payment by benefit per the plan design, allowing for the easy administration of Flexible Spending Accounts alongside Health Reimbursement Arrangements through a single claims entry interface. Well-designed HRA plans increase employee responsibility, and the use of our debit card greatly reduces the need to process claims. The combination of these elements effectively eliminates "pay and chase" as we know it.
The HRA model can work for employers of any size and can be utilized as a stand-alone benefit with regard to an underlying health plan or can be linked to one or more high deductible health policies. The linkage of the HRA and the HDHP is a fundamental characteristic of the popular Defined Contribution Plans that are being marketed today. It can optionally support employee incentive arrangements featuring carry-over of unused credits. The amounts rolled over can be managed independently from the current year amounts that are used to reimburse for expenses.
