DataPath Software Approved for
2005 Forms 5500/5500-EZ

DataPath software has been approved for the machine print filing of Forms 5500/5500-EZ (Annual Return/Report of Employee Benefit Plan) for 2005 under the EFAST system.

These forms are filed each year by more than one million pension and other employee benefit plans to satisfy annual reporting requirements under ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code.

DataPath has been providing this service using the existing EFAST 5500 tool since 1999, and would like to commend the DOL, IRS, and PBGC for processing the approvals in record time this year.

2½ Month Grace Period

The 2½ Month Grace Period, enacted by the IRS last year, wasn’t your average IRS regulations change. It threw those of us in the software business and you in the administration business into a hectic race to make the necessary changes in preparation of administration of this process. The transition wasn’t easy, but we made it together.
