HSAToday™ Releases Revolutionary
Claims VaultSM Technology

Heath Savings Account (HSA) Administration has entered a new era today with the release of the patent-pending Claims VaultSM   feature of  HSAToday™.

Instead of people keeping their receipts haphazardly in shoeboxes stuck in the back of their closets, they can store and organize them in the Claims VaultSM provided by the patent-pending platform of HSAToday™. With the Claims VaultSM technology, document files containing the receipts can be attached to the claim records presented on the web platform. Expenses incurred today can safely be reimbursed months or even years later with a few clicks of the mouse. If elected to do so, the PSP can certify the receipts as qualified for reimbursement.

HSAToday™ is the only solution in the marketplace that offers this unique service, thus giving the account holder an incentive to retain their PSP's services if the account holder changes employers or HDHP carriers. This powerful tool positions the PSP the center of the HSA program by allowing the PSP to serve in dual rolls: serving (1) as the Plan Service Provider to the Employer and (2) as the Personal HSA Assistant to the Account Holder.

"The reason we are able to do our consumer-directed model is because the Claims VaultSM puts us in a different mode than a bank," said James Phillips of Veritas Health Systems. "The Claims VaultSM allows us to offer a service that the banks cannot provide. It is a huge value. This is something tangible that we can sell to an employer. An d it's not just the Claims VaultSM ; it's the entire PSP model of HSAToday™. Federal law requires that if you want this type of savings account, you have to have a certain type of health plan. To not have anybody between the two is just blowing it."

Three Versions of HSAToday™ Now Available.

With the addition of Claims VaultSM , three versions of HSAToday™ now exist. The PSP can switch between these versions in order to meet the needs of various employer groups.

Version 1.  Version 1 allows individuals to store their own claims and receipts in the Claims VaultSM and either (1) self-attest the validity of their claims or (2) request personal assistance from the PSP for certification of the claims.

Version 2.  Increased data integrity of the claims stored in Claims VaultSM is provided by Version 2. The PSP serves as a true service-oriented client advocate by certifying all claims entered by the account holder. Self attestation is not available in this version. All claims posted require PSP certification. This certification by the PSP gives the account holder peace of mind about the information's accuracy when filing income taxes or coping with IRS if the account is ever audited.

Version 3.  Employer groups set up by the PSP under Version 3 will not be activated for the Claims VaultSM . Because claims storage and certification services are not provided, the PSP should encourage account holders to maintain a record of their personal expenses.
