What do you see as the most important function of your department?
I believe our most important service is to provide assurance of data and process integrity to the HSA account holders and their agents. Secondarily, we attempt to provide the most natural and straightforward user interfaces possible.
How do you envision your department developing / improving in 5 years?
Within the next five years, I believe the HSAToday® development and support department will integrate technology advancements providing faster and more aesthetically pleasing portals for account holders and managers. Further, the designs pioneered for HSAToday®, will conceivably allow Internet access to other benefit and financial information previously out of reach to the end user.
What is the best thing about your job?
Being able to solve problems and constantly improve systems across a broad range of technologies and challenges is the most rewarding aspect of my position.
What is the most challenging thing about your job?
Integration of new technologies while maintaining a very reliable system with a significant number of interrelated elements is what presents the greatest challenge in our department.
