COBRA Efficiencies for the
New Plan Year

Are you taking advantage of the Enter New Rates Reminders, the Open Enrollment Request Letter, or Census Imports?

New Rates

To help you keep up with which Employers need new rates, are you having the system prompt you in the Things To Do List? If not, go to your Administrative Settings under Tools and turn it on with your desired time frame. Once you have been prompted that you need new rates, how are you requesting the new rates?

Open Enrollment Request Letter

Are you using the Open Enrollment Request Letter that merges tables specific to that Employer’s benefits?

If you have any questions on either of these items, please go to www.dpath.com and there is a tutorial in DataPath University.

Operational Efficiencies

The new plan year is a great time to start other new operational efficiencies. Here are some suggestions:

  • Are you utilizing the Census Imports? Were you aware that you can not only import names and addresses but also assign benefits, generate Initial Notices, and process QEs?
  • What about myRSC? Are you having your Employers send you information manually or via the COBRA Transactions?
  • The biggest efficiency you can implement is the recently released OMS (Operations Management System). You will be able cut your most time consuming process by sending your letters to a fulfillment house for printing and mailing with an electronic certificate of mailing. You can also post letters and reports for viewing on myRSC.

These are only a couple of the resources available with OMS. If you are interested in implementing OMS, you must be on the new Suite Contracts. If you want to start using OMS, please contact us at (800) 633-3841 or sales@dpath.com.

Happy Holidays,
