Why COBRA?The real question should be “Why Not COBRA”. There are many fears of getting into COBRA administration. A few are: liability, timeline tracking nightmares, document management issues, staffing issues. With DPI COBRA we can eliminate these fears, allowing you to move into one of the most profitable areas of benefits administration. If you are already providing COBRA administration but not utilizing DPI COBRA, then let us show you how you can do so with greater profit and more efficiency. The biggest fear is the liability. The Plan Administrator bears the liability. You as a TPA are only the Service Provider. Timeline tracking is simple with DPI COBRA. You can customize COBRA time periods for each person and each of their coverages independently. In fact an enhancement recently released allows you to track differing loss of coverage dates within the same benefit based on the type of Qualifying Event occuring. (Ex. In the event of a termination the last day of coverage is the last day of the month, where a divorce might have the last day of coverage is the date of the event.) Coming soon, look for OMS (Operations Management System). OMS will allow you to send letters to a fulfillment house via myRSC for printing, and post letters and reports to myRSC. Automating the production of reports and letters, even mailing, allows you to do more with less staff. If you are not currently offering COBRA administration or outsourcing it, let us show how you can add or increase your profitability.
